Disgusting support from Vodafone. I had requested for conversion of my prepaid number to post paid on 3rd May 2011 and was issued a new SIM card the same day. The process took a week and my old SIM card was disabled on 10th morning. However, my new post paid SIM card wouldn't show any data network and all efforts to get it working failed. The Vodafone support center took endless time without result.

I also visited the Vodafone shop at Chembur, from where I had purchased the post-paid SIM for a disconnection request on 10th evening. They did not issue a disconnection form with an assurance that everything would be sorted out by 10th night and they would call back to confirm.

On the contrary, the SIM card doesn't have even a GSM signal as of now. I had substantial balance in my prepaid account, paid annual fees for blackberry services in advance and was also promised an additional Rs. 250 bonus during my conversion.

I am going ahead with an alternate connection later today and hope that they will refund me the amount that was collected. Utter failure from Vodafone to handle a simple pre-paid to post-paid conversion resulting in losing a customer.
