Long story short: Car had to be back in Perth by Monday - we left Sydney on a Saturday.
Toyota HiAce, Diesel (no turbo!). Max speed, 135km'h. Our average driving speed, 130km'h. No aircon. No cruise control. Cracked windscreen. Hit a wombat. Almost hit an eagle.
Last day we did Ceduna to Perth, 20 hours of solid driving.
Highlight: every minute of it.
