Camera, Editing and Music by: Chris Wonfor (ClefferNotes)

Here is a video that I created for a client who I am close in contact with: Steve Adams. It is in my opinion the best piece of work I have created, as I am emotionally attached to it. I travelled to Kenya in January 2011 with Steve to meet the people and the schools involved with the Teach Africa Programme. The experience I had gained whilst filming and producing this documentary was incredible, and I feel so honoured and privileged to be able to have a chance to meet these wonderful people featured in this video. And to experience the beautiful country.

The purpose of this video was to document how the Teach Africa charity that Steve founded has helped young budding students who are willing to make a difference in their community to achieve their aspirations, and to also interview the former students of the Teach Africa project.

Here is an insight to Steve Adams' Charity: Teach Africa and what made it all happen.

"In May 2005 I sat in a classroom with around 80 13 year old girls in a school in the heart of one of Nairobi's slums Mukuru Kwa Njenga. By coincidence the girls were the same age as my daughter Holly.

During a session run by the Barclays Kenya Health and Welfare Officer, Joseph Wafula, he announced in matter of fact way, that statistically 50% would not see their 25th birthday. They barely batted an eyelid, it rocked me.

The reason is due to the high incidence of rape in the slums fuelled by rough drugs and alcohol and resulting in the contracting of AIDS through forced unprotected sex.

When confronted with this sort of reality you can either take the view that the problem is just too big and there is nothing you can do or commit to doing something, however small to try and make a difference. I chose the latter and I chose to make my contribution by helping to support the education of these young bright people."

Steve Adams.

I filmed this on a recently purchased Canon EOS 550D SLR with the Rode Videomic so I was still learning how to use it as I was filming, and what a camera it turned out to be, absolutely stunning!

I would like to thank Steve personally and all those who had helped create such an impact on my life by being able to visit this stunning country and experience the harsh reality of living in Kenya compared to how we live. I will never forget the week I was there and it will stay in my memories forever, I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed producing it.

Please sit back and enjoy, thank you so much for watching!
