Trent students from around the world joined forces on Thursday, September 4 to present the fourth annual Trent World Day, an event that aims to bring a greater understanding and consciousness of the diversity represented at Trent to the entire University community.
Trent World Day 2008 was well-attended by new students as part of Introductory Seminar Week (ISW) activities. During the Intro Village portion of event, entitled Its a Colourful World, students had the opportunity to tour booths on the Bata podium and learn about various international student groups at Trent, as well as participate in several hands-on workshops, including henna tattooing, dance, and hair braiding.
Trent World Day concluded with a lively Cultural Show, highlighting different customs and cultural icons from around the world.
