At the end of 2004 Vilas came to NC for a charity tennis event. Me & my mother met him & talked to him for about 15 min.'s. My mother had a friend from Chile who she called, & asked Vilas to talk to him. They spoke on the phone for about 5 min.'s. Then we got a photo with him. He was very excited to talk to someone from South America on the phone, and he was so friendly. Vilas was a boyhood hero of mine, I saw him play in person in South Orange, in 1975 ('76?)...I shook his hand, he was cool
