Lake Champlain on the border between Vermont and New York reached a record flood crest of around 103.2 feet on May 6, 2011. The flood damaged or destroyed 500 Vermont homes and caused widespread destruction. Video shows Colchester Point, Vermont camps badly damaged by flooding and battering waves.

@CYCLO2012MUSIC: The flooding of lake champlain has nothing to do with the tornados. It has to do with global warming causing a warmer winter which in turn causing more snowfall (temperatures around 0 mean it's best for snowfall) and when all that snow melts it floods lakes. A lot of rainfall doesn't help either. But, what do I know? I only live here.

Thank you for posting this! I feel like people are in disbelief that VT and NY could have flooding just like the rest of the United States.
