blueslifer, I think saying he "always" has his jersey untied is stretching it a bit. I agree in that fight it was but Ive seen him mop up Reed Low in several fights and without the jersey coming off. Anyway, always a good spirited game when blues & wings play.

Yes, any player who doesn't tie down his jersey gets a unfair advantage over another player. Although, the tie down will not always hold, thus the referees always check the jersey and pants to see if the tie down was done up or not.

Actually it's an advantage to get your jersey and pads off. Then your opponent has nothing to grab on to when fighting. McCarty is a tough customer, and i'm not saying that he wouldn't have won the fight anyway, but trust me, in a hockey fight, you want to be able to hold onto the other guy while you throw punches.
