2008- Fresno, California USA. Shows the Honorable Mayor Autry of Fresno, apologizing to their homeless for years of failure and neglect. He empowers them by accepting their plans and assures them that the City is going to be there to serve them. A prime example of leadership on his part and courage on the part of their homeless who sued for abuse and violations of their Constitutional freedoms. All cities can learn from this Fresno Video which also shows a photo of the homeless who won and a copy of the court's award letter.
We've heard about bad things he may have done before the award, but any time a City Leader can stand up and admit mistakes must be acknowledged and given due credit and respect for this action.
Includes text on how a city can regain trust and operate humane services for residents in need, by treating them live valuable members of the community and stop trying to control them. Empower them by letting them tell you city what they need, then Serve The People as best you can without bias, abuse of power and disconnected policies that fail unless you INCLUDE all residents into the solutions for chronic homelessness.
