i got a question...over here in ft.myers where i go fishing its dark brackish water..what type of bait and what time of the year is best to try to catch some snook?..should i get a fish finder??...

@babybeastvman we used live shrimp and pinfish

@sk84lifem23 you probably use dead bait wit a huge sinker ......use a free lined mullet ,pilcherd ,sardine, or pinfish u will catch snook like crazy
-
i went there. didnt catch 1 snook. only catfish
@EA5T5IDE13KILLA - Best choice would be a live finger mullet on a 5/0 circle hook with 3ft of 30lb mono shock leader. Live Shrimp under a cork would also be a good snook bait but use a smaller hook like a 2/0 or 1/0. You can catch them all year round in Ft Myers but the Spring and Summer are best. Fish the docks with lights, bridge pilings and spots where there is moving water like creek mouths ect. Fish finders are great tools but you don't need one to catch Snook.
