Personally I think anything everyday object that is gold plated just looks tacky as hell. Proof os the saying, money can't buy you taste. For everyone saying "is it real gold", it's gold plating which really isn't the expensive luxury you seem to believe it is, so there's no reason to doubt if it is or isn't.

On a positive, the uploader has achieved a very nice finish, so well done to him for that. He's clearly an expert at this.
