A QUEEN FOR CAESAR (1962) starring Pascale Petit, Gordon Scott, George Ardisson, Akim Tamiroff and Rik Battaglia. Directed Piero Pierotti and Viktor Tourjansky.

Released during the busiest year of Sword & Sandal films, 1962, A QUEEN FOR CAESAR still somehow stood out from the crowded pack. The film is a low budget one with minimal sets and exterior shots. The cast is great but it doesn't have a cast of thousands. The screenplay is lightweight and cute but nothing earth-shattering. So it stood out mainly because of its main star, Pascale Petit. She's sorta mesmerizing as Cleopatra and is the most dazzling thing about the whole film, which chugs along at good pace.

The only terrible thing in this film is the score which is, at times, overbearing.

All in all, it's a fun lightweight PEPLUM.
