You must get certified once a year. It changes. You use to give two rescue breaths but not anymore. I just got certified but I believe any help is better than nothing.

hmm -- I am under the impression that you have to give the 2 breaths first before you begin the compressions.

You guys are missing the point...........ANY form or variation of cpr is better than NONE on a person who isnt breathing and/or heart stopped.

Experts are now saying the chest compressions alone are sufficient. A lot of people don't like putting their mouths on the victim and I don't blame them. Fear of AIDs, etc.

If you go on the resussitation Council web site it has the updated procedures for CPR.

Defibrilators are more common than you think,they have them at airports train stations some Police Forces have them and other big companies,so not such a ridiculous request.

But if I found someone who needed First Aid, on a moral ground, I would try and help them. out. But I guess you got to do what you think is right. So I would not leave anyone to die, I would help, but I would be careful while do so.

Worried that I will help someone and they might think they have a oppatunity to take me for every penny and take it, plus I have very little. Or they might stop screaming wolf, even there is no wolf there, only sheep.
