Automatic

This is track #5 and the title song from my album 'Automatic'. It is meant to be the centrepiece of the whole album, as lots of the themes and things I was trying to sing and write songs about are in this song. The lyrics, though simple, are supposed to be addressing the fact that many people (myself included) drift through life fairly aimlessly without ever really living in the moment. I suppose my recent reading into Buddhism has had a certain influence on this, but please do not judge it as me trying to be 'preachy' about anything, because that is the last thing I am trying to be; it is just a more spiritual song of mine.

This is the first time that I have experimented with vocal harmony, so it is a bit rough round the edges, but when it does all manage to slip into tunefulness every once in a while I think it expresses what I intended it to sound like. I am very proud that I managed to write and record this song, probably more than any other piece so far. I hope you like it. :) Please comment and let me know.
