@123girlsandboys Yes but if you 're young then you'll start at a lower height and shorter throwing distance. I'm 13 and I started playing in December 2010 when I decided to buy a board with my christmas money. Mine is at the proper height and isn't far off from the throwing distance and I've improved a lot. As he grows older then increase the height and throwing distance slightly and before you know it he'll be a World Champion.

Everyone who think's this young lad should be playing on a full height dartboard, and full length away, are clearly stupid and have no sense. How does anyone expect a young darts player do start at that distance, he will be just throwing them and not getting good aim. Building his way up to a proper distance will improve him as it will get his stance, technique and throwing arm all together. Some people have no respect at all. Come on Nathan the atom Butcher. See you on TV in 10 years :P!

@bramfordboys but he is 6 years old? how is he gona throw from the proper distance, this is just to help with him technique and all. Every year he might move the board up until the proper height. Its like giving a 5 yr old child a proper size football, not gona work well.

@Harrietx246 i completely agree with you, he will obv be good when older, he will change technique when he improves, and he will know how to count and know checkouts which will be great when hes older. how can people expect a 6 yr old to throw good form 7 foot 9 and quarter and 5 foot 8 to the bull at the age of 6. People really are soo stupid! there just jealous there not going to go anyway.

i know he's good there mat,e not taking anything away from the lad..but you should never get him practicing on summat thats more suitable. its good to obtain he's throwing technique but as in playing you must get in on the standard board right away. but i must say he does seem the part :)

@Harrietx246 Thanks for that positive comment, its nice to know there are level headed decent people out there, nathan still plays and still loves the game, hes improved quite a lot since this video was taken.. he sometime plays on a full height board now, and can still hit his 180s.. so thanks again.. (ime nathans dad)..
