@chaabimaroc as a matter of fact this music is very close to bandari/Khaliji music of Hormuzgan in southern Iran, the beats/Rhythms almoust identical. It's because of the indo-african influence on southern Iran and in Zanzibar they have arabic, indian and even persian influences because of the old traders who came from Persia, Arabia and India. THats's why it has nothing to do with the genetic connection between maroccans, somalis and zanzibar. Since maroccans are arabs so yes, some connections
