@RedPlanetDriveIn Weezer has done a bunch of good hits since then, Island in the sun, beaverly hills, odd couple, ect, ect. The weezer sound and the rental sound is very different, making it rather unfair to compare.

@Caughtfish your thinking of the production of alternative rock of the mid 1990's after kurt cobain died, a lot of music from this time sound the same like that dog, weezer, frogpond, and of course the rentals but the only difference with the rentals is that they used moog synthesizers

@zanpinkerton I disagree i think this song needs more weezer and it would be perfect. IMO matt sharp was a large part of weezer which made their later albums not as good. At the same time the rentals feel like they are missing something and I feel that is river's input.
