I tried to emulate some Dire Straits tone with my Suhr Classic with FL pickups. I used a Splawn Quickrod, 4x12 cab with Greenback Heritage with Axe-Fx reverb. Played with fingers, I usually use a pick.

  • thanks i was looking for a demo of theFL pickups are these standards?

  • @marcoslnobrega : yes

  • wonderful tones sir!

didn't know you could get these kind of sounds from this amp!

specially taking into account that the song brothers in arms was recorded using a les paul and this one sounds awesome as well.

  • @martyfriedman86 : thanks, I was trying to achive a similar tone with a strat. On later live recording MK was using a Pensa Suhr which is basically a super strat with a thick maple top.

  • 2 or 6 point trem?

  • @imatube2 : 2 points

  • Another one nicely done, Patrice. You've got the tone down....and the chops!

  • Are these stainless steel frets or classic alloy?

  • @misternogreco : I'm not sure these are 10, I think so

  • very nice sound! and very close to Mark Knopfler's sound, too

the strings are 10s? seems a little hard to bend..
