@cleverlefty u need to cover around the filter so he can't do that because one night he might miss and fall on the ground. it's one of those things where you can't believe it until it happens to you. Eels are DOPE. Mine needs a bigger home now too.

Awesome. I would love to see a video of that!

yeah i had one that would do that but one day i found it on the floor all dried up

you think it would fit into a 30 gal?

that tank looks prett ybig.....

Nice Tire Track Eel! I think that one gets even bigger than the Fire eel, like 3 feet.
I got the smaller Eel, Zig Zag Eel in my 50g, only gets to like 8 inches. Yours needs at least 100gallon minimum, bigger better.

that tank is TOO small

0mg i didnt know they grow this big ive got 6 of em in my 125 liter aquarium
It's been a while since I've been on here. Can't believe this video has over 5000 hits, and lots of comments both nice and not so nice. Our eel, "Shy Guy" is now in a 300 gallon tank. He grew pretty fast in a years time! He liked to explore and would go in and out of the filter every night.

Do you have a tire track eel?

These eels are so curious. Better make sure everything is pretty snug or you might find yours outside of the aquarium. As you can see, ( from my other video) Mine goes straight up the water flow and ends up in the filter. Then he slides out the other side of the filter flow, back into the water! He seem's like he's having a great time! Thanks.
