Next time you enjoy a tomato, think about the men and women who picked it out in the hot sun. What would be a fair wage for them? Would you rather shop at a grocery store where the harvesters were paid fairly? What would you think of a grocery store chain that refused to raise the pay for the farm workers just one cent per pound? Wouldn't it be great if the largest grocery chain in Florida decided to do the right thing? I'm sure they will, if enough of us encourage them to. We're all connected.
Go after the crew leaders and farm owners you idiots.

I don't mind the praying part, but putting taking the food off the shelves, putting it in baskets and then on the ground, that's sick. The one guy holding the tomato keeps rubbing it throughout the video. I hope he bought it and didn't actually put it back on the shelf for someone else to get. If I want more money I talk to my employer, not the people selling our products.

I hope that everyone watching this video sends an email to Publix or makes a phone call to ask that they pay the Immokalee farm workers more for the tomatoes that they pick. The bucket that workers get paid only 50 cents to pick would cost $79 dollars to buy in the store by a consumer. Support the Immokalee farm workers.
