very exciting, but here is what you do for next time, get a nitecore monster tm-11 flashlight, they are about 250 bucks, but have 2000 lumens of led power at full power, this is enough to easily light up about 300 yards out, and if that thing was 300 feet out you would have seen it clear as day even with the camera with a light as powerful as that, it is one of the brightest on the market, and trust me its worth it, your mind will be blown with something that high lumen

Just what I would wanna here on a dark night "Maybe it's a big mountain lion" lol, I've been watching your videos all day and I think they're very interesting, even if I can't make anything out. I just like the experience, this is coming from a 16 year old, I look forward to start going out myself later this year. Anyways, keep up the good work, you got a new subscriber today, I can't wait to see more videos! :)

So nice! I heard that double knock response.you got knee high thinsulate boots? Under bibs or jeans theyre great for me anyway! Brice is fortunate to have such a great field guide! I like the fact you use light at times and know" they know "your there. They see, smell, hear, just better and faster and stronger than us! They go anywhere and eat anything they want! Especially in group clans

a thought; How about a battery pack in a backpack & a spot light with a red lense? From what I understand a lot of animals don't see red, & you would still have enough light out to quite a distance.

that would be more creepy being out in the woods at night.

@clewi1091 I thought the same thing of this is trees just moving but since "no breeze" as he said, one can never rule out other possibilities when it comes to research.

@clewi1091 I didn't hear anything either. This why I don't go out at night...because even though I can see what's happening,no one else can.Flashlights and night vision surely help but that too has it's limits.I hope was able to find something in the daylight.

@LadyHawke01 I didnt hear a snap or anything and also I didnt hear the top of the tree go down. I think the sound is just a tree making a creaking sound. Thats normal when its really cold outside and they have extra weight from snow being on them. Plus it sounded really really close to them. As close as it was, I think if it had been something twisting the tree they would have heard other sounds too. Just my opinion though. Would be interesting to see if there are any tracks.
Exciting, even if I didn't see anything. Hope Santa brings you a better camcorder and a good flashlight :)
