I've had a crush on Jo Kennedy since the Starstruck days. And was scanning the shelves at the Sydney library and what do they have on the shelf but the movie itself on DVD. Needless to say I borrowed the movie and re-established an infatuation that I had not thought of in years,(but it was always bubbling under the surface). I was 12 then and now I'm 40, and I gotta say wow then, wow now.

It must have been hard to know where to go from "Starstruck," whether to be an actress, or a singer, or both. Then there's the matter of how to find such good material again, and how to be taken as Jo Kennedy and not Jackie Mullens. I can see why this might have seemed like the way to go, and this song is better than a lot of crap that did well commercially in the era. i don't think the music or the video shows her off as the unique performer we know her to be, though.

Yes, I liked her hair style in "Starstruck", it suited her! I never would have recognised her..she used to be so cute!
