@spruland I'm glad someone has pointed this out! I don't this place will be around for long due to lack of supporters. I think the GP in 2011 only got 60,000 on race day!

What was the incident that prompted the SC in the first place? I didn't see anything that would have required it's use

@spruland I didn't watch this race last year in F1 because I just hated the track and since it was a dead rubber I didn't have any reason to watch

@V8SupercarMadness tha doesn't sound right, it would barely allow the race cars behind it to get out of 1st gear.

@twistednormal Well there is nothing in the D 11. SAFETY CAR (“SC”) PROCEDURES part of the V8 Supercars Operations manual to answer this question. my opinion is it all depends on the track they are racing on, but im not really sure, so the answer to the question is a mystery. Maybe if someone is close friends with Amber Anderson (Safety car driver) they would kindly ask her the average speed of the safety car?

@gamefreakx129 Track Repairs... if the Safety car was doing 80km/h they would get too many laps done.
