  • I love the fact that the one of the main people who organized the "tea parties" is a lobbyist for corporate tax breaks when the real boston tea party was a protest against a tax break for the colonial version of a corporation The East Indian Trade Company...The ignorance of some people is rediculous

  • @stardingo747 Then again, some people would LOVE to pay TAXES!

    DUH!

Say if a person has only been making an average of $300-$500 a YEAR...which, you might guess, means no taxes, it's then that paying taxes becomes a goal. A Privilege. And calling everyone one a retard doesn't amount to an intelligent reply. Reagan worked on espionage and government sabotage, and that was a miserable failure. You quote a fictional story for reasoning? More IRS and tax whining. Get over it.

  • Moreover, the area of the defense department where most of the money should go, are the espionage agencies; the world has become huge population wise, so outright wars, are catastrophic affairs that cost everyone money. The best way to save it, is by focusing on espionage and government sabotage.

  • sorry but, both conservatives and liberars are retards. I'm a pragmatist, not a politician. Virtually all economic plans operate under the assumption, that numbers remain the same without ups and downs on the charts. You can't tax 35% of people's incomes, when their income now, is not the same as it was 10 years ago. the best time to have tax hikes, is during times of prosperity, the best time for tax breaks, is during economic stress.

  • anyone read the Biblical story of Joseph? In times of prosperity, high taxation, take 1/5 of everything the people earn, so that in times of recession it can then be given back. SOMEONE has to save money, if the people are too irresponsible to do it themselves. Because the government is the most powerful governing body, the responsibility of saving money lies heaviest with them.

  • Tax laws need to be flexible; world economies, at no point in human history, have ever been consistent, there are always ups and downs. Economic problems stem from the inflexibility of taxation systems. Give everyone too many tax breaks, and the government can't run, tax everyone to death no matter what, and it destroys the economy. The best solution is to tax people when they actually have money, and give everyone a break when they don't.

  • With the IRS I don't think its a question of what they can get you for; its more a question of what CAN'T they do.

Honestly who were the retards who gave them so much power?

They all ought to be shot!

  • The complaint is legit? from what I've seen most of these people are lower income people who have just got a tax break so why are they complaining?

  • There is a very distinct and important difference between lowering taxes generally and lowering taxes to the benefit of a specific corporation. The colonists still had to pay a tax on tea, just not that from the East Indian Trade Company. The rebellious folks among the colonists rejected both governmental favoritism and the continued tax levied on tea other than that from the East Indian Trade Company. Though I agree these modern imitations are a tad absurd, I believe the complaint is legit.
