  • I know I will get flack for this but, she may be the best ever.

  • Caballe sings this difficult piece with precision, and beauty which has no comparison, the very best. We miss you Montserrat Caballe.

  • È inutile!esiste solo la callas!mi spiace ceballe

  • Perfetto, ottimo sotto tutti i punti di vista

  • There is another clip from this concert - Signor Ascolta - she gets a standing ovation for the final note. She is staggeringly brilliant.

  • @neneorganico Though not sung as originally written, Caballes' glorious one breath descent from the final high note in the Vissi, and Joan Sutherlands' final soaring note in the Rigoletto quartet, are interpretations by singers of exceptional ability. They have saved us from having to listen to the gasping for breath of the usual Vissi, and the usual build up to a let down in the Rigoletto quartet.

  • @Milahi1935 Mine too.

  • @Milahi1935 I agree with you that Caballe "does it best" but I know of two other singers who also can "do it in one breath", Zermena Heine-Vagnere and Stella Zambalis. They are both wonderful, but Heine-Vagnere is absolutely stunning! As you like Caballes' interpretation, I think you would appreciate these ladies too.

  • From 2:50 to 3:05 she sings the most brilliant 15 seconds in music history.

  • No flack from me; she is the best ever !

  • @Milahi1935 : You should learn that in singing sometimes is written without cut and others times is written to cut and the "legato". What Caballe does is not the style and the great manner
