NOW AVAILABLE ON CD THROUGH ALMACANTAR RECORDS.
With the talented writing of Chris Doheny, Melbourne's Geisha released many great songs over a 3 year period but never got the real success and recognition they deserved.
This was their 3rd single, released in November 1985. This clip was never shown on Countdown but they did perform it live on November 23 1985 and reached No.16 in Melbourne, No.42 nationally and apparently No.1 on the Melbourne Dance charts although I don't have a complete set of charts to prove this. Kabuki did reach No.1 on the Top 8 at 8 charts which was a listener phone in chart compiled weeknightly on EON FM and hosted by John Peters from memory.

  • FANTASTIC SONG!!!! Chris looks sexy with the black hat!!!

  • I actually seen these guys live with Pseudo Echo at the Night Train Disco in Broken Hill, the sound was awesome great performance...will never forget it!!!

  • Way ahead of their time. One of the most underrated bands Oz ever produced. Chris' voice is still as emotive and powerful as it was 20 years ago.
