No you were right the first time. The doctor lost it on Christmas present day. Jack wouldn't have had it initially.

130 years? he only's had the hand since the Doctor lost it in the Christmas Invasion (in 2006, I believe), so that would be 2-3 years. It's still strange, but I'm more curious about how he procured the Doctor's severed hand, especially when Torchwood London was active and just as eager to get their hands on the Doctor.

sorry i made a mistack when i said 3 years it was more like 130. it's kinda scary but o well to each there own, some get a lock of hair and others get a severed hand. totally normal!
