This small song idea I created just a few days ago, when trying out the amazing applications from both BFD2 (the great Neil Peart sample library) and Amplitube 3 software for creating the guitar and bass parts. Both awesome stuff, which I highly recommend to anyone playing guitar, bass or drums on a home computer (or in the studio for that matter).

The guitars I used are an Agile Intrepid Pro 8-string and a Fender Stratocaster (Japan) from the early 90's. The bass guitar I borrowed from a dear friend of mine, which is a G&L Tribute series bass.
The drum module used is a Roland TD-9 with all mesh heads on the kit.
All recorded on an iMac 27" Core i7 2,8Ghz. with 8GB of RAM and Logic Pro 9.1.1. recording software.

Anyhow, I hope you like what you see here. It's just a little test on the equipment used and I will post some more heavy tunes in the not so long future :-) And please... don't shoot me for not playing the drums tightly, for I only play for a couple of months now. Enjoy!

  • @superStig23 And it IS played with a click :)

  • @SuperStig23 Like I mentioned above in the info space, I don't play drums that long, so it isn't tight at all. It's just a test. Thanks for your comment :)

  • A great idea, with a great, inspiring sound.

  • @TheChronicKronic

Thanks mate! I appreciate that :)

  • @Vernhicular: thanks mate. Much appreciated. I'm going to upload more stuff soon. I'm using the fantastic Studio Drummer by Native Instruments almost exclusively now. The sound is amazing. More to come soon.

  • Loverly stuff. Well done.

  • @sarinapaparone

Thanks mate! It's been a while since this recording, so I would have done things differently looking back. But hey, it's just an idea and an overview of BFD drums and the guitar products from Amplitube 3. Thanks for your reaction!

  • hi, best quality!! i have a question? can you send me a bfd2 preset midi for TD-9 module? i have many difficult to mapping all key.

    Thanks!!

  • Sounds great but the tempo/timing of the intruments & drum track are a little off.

Try a click track maybe ?

  • Fuck yeah! Bonus points for the Agile Intrepid. Neil Peart sample library?? Why don't I own that? Nice track!

  • Hey have you guys tried chocking the cymbals? We can't get the chocking to work even when we load the BFD map into our TD20's.
