To those folks saying how "awful" she looks, according to her commentaries on DW DVD's, her face was reconstructed after some sort of accident BEFORE she was cast as Jo Grant. So what you are seeing is the effects of aging on circa 1960's reconstructive plastic surgery. When you consider that, she doesnt look bad at all.
