  • @AngelofAnguish I was actually there for both the matches and it wasn't really a full scale riot. In both cases APD lost control of the ringside area and too many angry fans crowded around the ring. It definately wasn't safe for the bad guys to try and leave through that crowd. Both times the police needed reinforcements to clear ringside before they could escort the guys to the back.

  • I was ther in the Omni that night. The Andersons and Assassins had to stay in the ring until the APD restored order and cleared most of the fans from ringside. Similar to another match I attended when the Andersons broke Dusty's leg.

  • These are the good old days in the NWA when cage matches meant the guys were forced to stay and fight until the score was settled. No escape the cage to win like the pussy wwe rules. The whole point of the cage was to stop outside inteference and the bad guy from leaving and taking a cheap count-out loss. The bad guys would try to climb out and escape but that was just to get over the cowardly heel persona, they never made it. They were forced to stay and fight. To hell with the pussy wwe rules.

  • @lovejava04 it was real at times ole doesn't like rhodes and at best had alove hate relationship with him.

  • @mrhollister09 it was real jody didn't like rhodes and worked very stiff with him!

  • Angles like this made wrestling seem so real. Dusty Rhodes sure made fans believed that wrestling real. I was truly convinced as a child & was scared and horrified when Dusty Rhodes was doubled team & bleeding.

  • Ole was badass.

  • I was there that night and I remember thinking somebody was gonna get hurt, especially Ole.Great times.

  • @rtenny7 Speaking of a riot, remember when the four horsemen attacked Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair broke Dusty's ankle (inside a steel cage)? To paraphrase Ric Flair, "As we were making our way back to the dressing a (full scale) riot broke out. No avoid getting attacked ourselves, we had to be 'flanked by venue security or police." When was the LAST time a (full scale) riot broke out a modern WWE event?
