A caller gives his reaction to an interview with Nigel Knight, the author of Churchill: The Greatest Britain Unmasked (Nigel Knight) earlier in the show. He gets totally furious and goes on a short but memorable tirade.

Galloway finds this to be quite amusing...

  • If it was not for STALIN and the german war with the USSR there would have been NO BRITIAN and NO FRANCE AND NO POLAND and Hitler would have won. I think that the western countries starting from Britain and the USA try always to show that they were the key players in this and the fact is that they were not.

  • @canegia Totally agree, I think churchill had great personal courage, but he was also a shrewd politician who knew that no one country could defeat the german reich, and that it would take a combined massive allied effort most of the blood being shed by the soviet red army in anyt case, which by the way churchill and roosevelt didnt give a damn about so as long as they defeated hitler in the process....

  • @canegia I agree that the main war was in the east but with out British and US aid the USSR would of been crushed :(

  • @canegia Exactly...most of the credit goes to the USSR, as the Soviets have lost 26 million ppl between Barbarossa and Aug 1945. I'm not even Communist, but I find US/UK propaganda on this issue appalling

  • @badbubbagump

    Typical left wing mindless response!

  • @Redcarpet01 Yeah, good point! I actually was talking about the warsaw uprising (not the warsaw ghetto rising which was far smaller), and how the allies did nothing to support the poles in their effort. It was a magnificent stand for what they had.. and they kept expecting resources from the allies that never came. However, the poles fled to england, basically saved it by creating the most successful RAF squadron, and then weren't allowed to march on Vday to not piss off stalin..

  • @wygram Yup, declaring war on Germany but not have any armed forces ready to strike even German ports is a bluff, and itler called it. That's not 'help', it's manipulation.

  • lol

  • how exactly did britain help poland?

  • What does he mean 'we came'? The guy was barely swimming around in his daddy's balls at the end of WW2. Which also makes him utterly unqualified to comment on Churchill's virtues.

  • I just spat rice all over the screen, that was hilarious.
