  • Apparently this Building was going to be Knocked down but getting it burned down seemed cheeper .. so that was the way.. it was isolated except the metal things like a distance of 10 cars away.

  • I`ve been away for about 20 years now but this vid damn near broke my heart! I grew up playing in central park and Liscard Hall was always the central meeting point in the park. So sad to find out its gone

  • i know yeahh . the day befor i sen 3 boys sitting on the roof of it with things in there hands

  • i miss this building it was one of the things that made central park what it is

  • A disgrace. Wirral Council do not care about Wallasey. Next they are trying to get rid of our libraries and swimming pools too.

  • I am also a Wallasey resident and it is criminal that a classic building such as this has been lost thanks to the mindless scum that permeate our society, but the gates of this park should be locked each night and things like this may have been possibly avoided. Anybody with any more footage of Wallasey gone by please post.

  • Hi Paul,

I was going to start a book this year on the buildings of Wallasey as we have lost so many recently, the Hotel Victoria, The Grand Hotel, La Bank, The Leasowe Pub, The 20 Row Inn, The Apollo 6 Cinema and The Floral Pavillion to name a few. And now this magnificent building can be added to the depressing list. Thanks for putting it on Youtube. It's a very depressing sight but well done for recording it. Make sure Wirral Council get a few copies as a poigniant reminder.
