  • Why signature, not full EMV (chip&PIN)? Is it PCI DSS complaint?

  • @dakoolk Hi there! We are EMV approved and comply with PCI-DSS regulations. The reason why we use signature instead of PIN is that PIN entry is currently not allowed in mobile devices.

  • @iZettle Hi! Thanks for your answer! I didn't know about the "no PIN on mobile" issue, actually. Is it a regulatory or IT-related hurdle (e.g. smartphones don't provide strona enough crytptography)? For, the old-school GSM POS do handle chip...

  • @dakoolk There were many aspects to take into account, but we have thought about it long and well and chosen to use signature verifications.

  • Do you still have to use facebook?

  • @Felldeeen91 not if you have a business wich iZettle is suited for.

  • "All you need is an iPhone and iZettle" - and facebook..

  • How long time does it take to get the card reader when you've signed up?

  • @FredrikMedia, izettle is an replacement for tre payment terminal, not for the cash register. If you are required to have an certified cash register this won't charge, but under some cases here in Sweden you still don't have to use certified cash registers.

  • I have use the square on in the us and it is fantastic. I was in a taxi coming from the airport and I did not have cash with me. The driver pull out the iphone with a weird gadget and ask me for my debit card. He put a code and the amount and click ok. I signed where it ask me and done!! You could even put the tip on the total bill!!! hhaahaha I received a minute later the bill and checked my account and buala: the charge was there. AMAZING. For small shops....perfect gadget!!

  • iZettle, the new way to rob people.
