If you look at an old Santa Fe RR route map, you'll see that the 3 cities are on 2 separate divisions. Also, look at a road atlas too.Voice Over expert extraordinaire,Mel Blanc used these 3 towns names because of how there syllables sounded when he was trying to re-create and exaggerate the sound of the train dispatcher's voice in L.A. Union Station.

MEL BLANC WAS CRAZY AND INSANE, BUT I LOVED AND ADMIRED HIS JOB AS VOICEACTOR. MY HERO OF THE ANIMATION. I LIKE THE VOICE OF DAFFY, PORKY AND THE REST OF CHARACTERS.

Santa Anita Racetrack is in Arcadia. No where near Anaheim. Did you mean Arcadia? Azusa is sorta near Arcadia. In 1950 Rancho Cucamonga had 1,255 people and now 165,000+ . Amazing.

Anaheim is nowhere near Santa Anita racetrack (Arcadia).
Azusa is closer to Santa Anita than is Anaheim.

Actually, at that time, there would have been very few passengers going to either placde (Azusa and Cucamonga) because they were so far out in the desert. Anaheim's main attraction was San Anita Racetrack. The studio audience was hep to the gagline so they laughed, and when the audience at home heard the laugh, they joined in, not realizing what was so frunny. In reality, you couldn't get there from here.

At 0:16 that kind of gives away that the show is ending considering that Porky is waving bye when he usually ends the show!
