i totally disagree the story is amazing the character development is ok the graphics as allways are brilliant there is however a let down with openness but the story was that good that it did not bother me how linear the game was i really disagree but i will not dislike as that is your opinion i just came to see your opinion and i cant dislike because i dont agree

@navitech9 12 was great. It's just the storyline and the characters personalities I had a problem with. If it wasn't for Balthier and Basch, I would have hated the game.

It's good to see that there's people out there who sees this the same way I do. Wtf have they done to my favorite series!? And now I see people saying stupid shit like Lightning would fuck Cloud up and that Caius guy would own Sephiroth, blah blah. Bullshit, are we outdated? Is the voted best video game ever, ff7 fading? Damn! I don't want to see the future of gaming overall, they are destroying everything!

@navitech9 I guess im just upset because it became, I guess somewhat girlish. Or maybe im just getting old. I have no doubt the game appeals to certain audiences. I just don't seem to be their new target audience. I am all for new characters storyline etc, and the idea is somewhat animaish, but even the males in the newer ones look more female than the females. I liked characters like Vincent, Barret, Auron, and Kimari.

@Chromozome1205 and if that isn't enough take a good look at COD.. How many people do you know played the first three?? They had to change it up so it appeals to a wider audience.. Again FF12 is my favorite of the series but it is far from being perfect, but I would be pissed if they kept throwing the same game back at my face and expect full retail for it. FF7 was epic but I wouldn't want the same thing again

@Chromozome1205 FF12 in fact did change up their style but they didn't destroy the concept of FF. FF12 was one of the most amazing games on the PS2 due to the exploration, customization, epic boss side missions, etc. The game had its faults like the art style and the strange choice of a main character such as Vaan, but the game was overall epic. Just because the style was slightly changed does not mean it was a bad game
