Hi Davie,
Really impressed with this traditional low water fly, would love to see you do another pattern in this style with the married feather wings. could you do one at some time? Many thanks. Alan.

Hi David,
Yes it is the same feather I used on the throat and wing. Google Flank Feathers and you will find all the info you will ever need to know..
Sorry about taking a couple of days to get back to you..
All the best Davie

Hi Amund19976,
The blue, yellow and red part of the wing is made from Goose Shoulder and the top part is Mallard Flank..

Hi Davie,
Would you do the low water feather wing version of the blue charm please?
would like to tie some up to fish, i know the hair wing is popular now but would be nice to fish with the original.
Haven't seen you in the Glasgow angling centre on a Sunday Davie, do you still do your monthly tying class?
Best regards. Alan.

Hi treyboy1234567891011,
You have got to marry the fibres together and line the tips up, Look closely and you will see this. What holds them in place is the very fine fibres which run along the top and bottom, give it a go and you'll see it working...
