well, from ive seen, all dojos teach different lol. we angle the wrist so we only punch with our top 2 knuckles. we also teach that our blocks are strikes as well, thats why i said angled wrist. i wasnt trying to correct you, i just realized all styles are different, even they have the same name. its funny how that works. in any case, your form is top notch, very focused. i have seen lots of videos here that are sloppy and terrible. i would just like to say to them "and youre a black belt"?

Thanks for the clearing up. just got back from a seminar with Master Tsuyoshi Uechi. He does it the same way. I'll be adding a video of it later, keep an eye out for it
i must say your form looks good, however, i would like to say your wrist in your blocks and punches needs to be angled more. other than that, good job. one of the best ive seen on here in a while.

@hmmm2686 Thank you for the complement. The angled wrist is actually counterproductive with a vertical rising punch. When the seiken penetrates the target and the wrist is angled, more stress is put on the wrist than if straight. I've never seen anyone angle the wrist while blocking. My interpretation of the blocking motion is probably different than most other Isshinryu lineages.

why the blocks after the punches at the begining?

@Gundyisme The retraction after each punch could have several applications. A block, a wrist grab release, or simply retracting back to a kamae. Some lineages of Isshinryu incorporate this movement in the kata and others don't. Isshinryu's Seisan mostly resembles Matsumura no Seisan which incorporates the blocking movement.
