@orlendatube No need to worry. I work with luster and disco dust all the time. Think of it as the same thing as adding gold or silver foil to gourmet chocolates. You know that those metals do not react with your body because they are inert and are absorbed. They just go right through you, LOL. It is like swallowing a coin ( I know exaggeration) but I want to illustrate how safe it is. FDA states, not considered a food because it has no nutrition value but is safe to consume.
luster dust worries me....what exactly does it do to your insides? are you absorbing it? whats in it exactly? too many questions for me to bother with. These sure do look pretty though!
i dont think that counts as a doubble bioler, since the bowl the chocolate is in is essntially directly touching the heat source....there is supposed to be AIR between the heated water and the bowl holding the chocolate! Its easy to make a doubble boiler properly, but you need to use a POT for teh bottom, not a frying pan....one the bowl can sit on without touching the bottom of the pot....
@paconot um ok...but you can get heavy metal poisoning from swallowing a coin....
I take anything the FDA says with a grain of salt...since i know some of their stuff is sorely outdated and some is just plain wrong....
