Snatcher Review for Sega CD. Snatcher is a gripping adventure game originally released for computer systems in Japan in the late 80s. This cyberpunk adventure shows a lot of influence from great films like 1982's Blade Runner, and Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame crafts a great, original gaming experience from it. Bioroid robots are killing and taking the places of citizen of Neo Kobe City, a city built on the Inland Sea off the coast of Japan in 2047. Gillian Seed, our not-all-that-cliché-of-a-main-character-even-though-he-has-amensia, has just joined the JUNKER team to combat the bioroid penance, known as Snatchers. Snatcher's fast pace and engaging story will have you on the edge of your seat for the whole ride. While the cost of admission is a little high, this Sega CD game is well worth every cent. Snatcher for the Sega CD was released in 1994, but saw remakes and ports on Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation, a spiritual sequel in the Sega Saturn game Policenaughts, and other games like Super Deformed Snatcher. This CGRundertow review of Snatcher on the Sega CD features gameplay and commentary from CGR's Jonathan.

  • I don't know. The English voice of Gillian doesn't match his appearance first time I saw Snatcher... Or the Japanese Actor's voice.

  • @thaneros Me too, I think there should BE a Remake.

  • this looks a lot like Binary Domain.

  • Why is this game so freaking rare? I want it legally, damn it! Konami Y U NO LET ME OBEY LAW?

  • Kojima's been shitting out Metal Gears long after they've gone stale, why not do the same with one of his other IP's for once.

  • to be honest, i dont think snatcher needs a sequel. I would like it and buy it, but is it really necessary? The ending wasnt really a cliffhanger, and the story was pretty much completely finished. So they would have to rebuild an entire story to make it work, cuz I dont think you can continue with this one

  • @Bloodthr0e well, yes, but you should be able to get it for less

  • "It might be a little pricy." You think $200 might be a little pricy for this game?

  • @smashbrosfan25 No.

  • so is this a metal geart spin off
