  • He should have said "it's been a marvelous fugue state". Can you imagine such socially constructed imbecility and original eccentricity that one finds the mule work of the factory an attractive game? He knew only rules, but not laws; how correct was the judgment of his sisters, nicht? A divine idiot. Nature/Nurture: Contrast him with Samuel Beckett, for a similar character, as Cioran notes, with an utterly different background.
