  • Doha, Abu Dhabi or Dubai could provide all the luxury and state of the art infrastructures for international events. Aside from this, these Arab cities are very very very rich and their government could afford all structures without putting the burden on the citizens.

  • money money money.... IOC is not FIFA, they wont sell the games . sorry but Doha Dubai... other gulf cities needs to wait for a couple of years to host the games. Istanbul, Cape Town , Madrid is the first to go...

  • @scorpioninpink ... i dont know how it seems from outside but we dont have any problems with kurds living in turkey. many prime ministers, presidents and ministers athletes are originally kurdish in turkish republic history. the problem is kurdish separators. turkey is a uniter country and we dont have federations or states inside. all rights i have is the same as kurd greek armenian citizens living here. we lost 35 000 citizens with these terrorist attacks in 15 years.

  • @thiocilline how about the kurds??? how do you explain that??? and pardon me for the late reply... i was kinda busy to even open the computer... btw, unless turkey fixed the kurdish problem then i think an olympics is unreachable... i don't want tokyo or rome to win it anyway... so if it is not madrid might as well doha or istanbul...

  • @scorpioninpink if we play the cards good. why not. its the first time for the olympics can be held in 2 continents at the same time, cross roads of cultures people religions for 2500 years, in a mostly muslim populated and biggest muslim economy, an emerging market, a regional power...etc just this must be the key sentence of Istanbul. the world ruled from here over a 1000 years. what ever u think about istanbul i dont know but, its an irresistible city,

  • @scorpioninpink well u must be disinformed about it. we have tens of different cultures and religions in here. and non of dem force inaother . the belief of their citizens are guaranteed with the laws. anybody can believe what they want to. even we have many jewish christian temples next to mosques in istanbul. interesting we celebrate their holy fests and day, and they do the same for us. just in our apartment we have 1 christian,6 jew, 1 real conservative muslim, 1 catholic and a atheist livin

  • @thiocilline do you think turkey will win this??? if madrid does not win, tokyo and rome will... ethnic violence and sectarian violence is common in turkey... but if istanbul win then fine... at least it is not an oil-rich country who wil bribe it's way to win the olympics... you know, like the world cup in qatar...

  • @thiocilline .,i mean doha MIGHT win it... but i highly doubt it... MADRID has a stronger chance... and TOKYO... ISTANBUL is kind of bleak at the moment because sectarian violence is common in turkey...

  • @scorpioninpink lol doha?:) a desert city without any olympic sports succes no female athletes just 2 bronze medals, small country and a city ... they need much more than just trillions of USD.

    may be at 2060s

  • @thiocilline .,that is why they did not win... but i think they have a shot on 2024 or 2028... the "new frontier" thing is not to be depended to... doha might win but madrid has a lot of chance...

  • @scorpioninpink with not enough government support and even they cant decide where to build the village even the voting day. not a proffesional application it was

  • @thiocilline New York lost because the population does not support it(the majority)...
