Barry Long speaks about the right relationship of mind and body. How to stop your mind from wandering. How to hold your stillness in the busy world.

This is some of the earliest footage of Barry Long teaching; filmed during a week of talks for four hundred people at The Victoria Rooms, Bristol, England in May 1989. Here he answers questions from the audience about being in touch with the sensation or presence of the body as a practice in daily life.

"All thoughts are man-made. Not one single thought is God-made."

Barry Long (1926-2003) was an Australian spiritual teacher and author with a worldwide audience.

  • Thank you for posting this. Very good :)

  • great stuff! trees should line every street in every town and city to give us something to look at, failing that there is always the sky.

  • NOW!

  • play chess LOL

  • so old shool / in the right sence of the word .

  • Despite being recorded over two decades ago, his words are fresh and brand new because he speaks from that timeless space of Now. You can just feel the Truth resonate in his words.

  • @iTheGeneral Exactly General, watch constantly for IT arising and in so doing actually prevent IT from arising.

Or when IT does arise simply hold it with your attention and burn IT out of you.

    Best Wishes.
