I listened to SOTL atop an 8000' summit yesterday. The beach laid to my west, an incandescent city stretched to my East, and below me, a valley of raw and angelic brush curtained my bond to society's claw of vexations. A gentle fire burned beside me. I felt a certain contrast between the eastward-city below, and the beach and wilderness to my west. A certain desire to gaze upon virgin landscape furthermore enveloped me. I became lost in the wild.
