Former ballerina Marie Liljedahl became an international sex symbol after this pioneer provocative film from director Joseph W. Sarno.
Liljedahl stars as Inga Frilund, a young studious virgin who after her mother's death goes to live with her 32-year old Aunt Greta (Monica Strommerstedt) at aunt's home in Stockholm. The nubile Inga's presence disrupts the household, stirring trouble with Greta's kept boytoy Karl (Casten Lassen) and her secret admirer Einar (Thomas Ungewitter).
Although melodramatic and trite, the film deserves a certain respect, because in an era when sexuality was a taboo in films it was one of the pioneers of erotic cinema - even if the sex scenes are pretty lame by today's standards.
Due to its steamy content and the frequent sexual activity of its beautiful young star the film did still a great deal of box-office business, and made even a certain success in countries such as the United States, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain, boosting up Sweden's reputation as a sexually liberal country.
