A Me to We motivational speaker, community development worker, and author, Robin Wiszowaty serves as the Kenya Program Director with Free The Children. Robin spent a year in Kenya where she lived with a family in a Maasai village, adapting to a rural Kenyan lifestyle.

on my trip to kenya with FTC I met Robin and she told us her story and she is one of the most inspirational people i have ever met. this was definitely the best experience of my life.

It has been interesting for me to see your sincere interest in living in a culture everyday that you know you are learning from the people, the geography, and all externalities that are dealt with.

I am glad to see you have taken the education you have received both in school in North America and with your friends and family in the Mara to do what you believe is right.

It is wonderful to hear of a young persons travels where they enter into a new culture so open to learning a new sense of community.

It is important we recognize that our way of life in North America, our gender constructs, our ideas of family and community, are not the only ones we should understand.

So many people live in a culture that they do not feel is their home and the many people whom I know who feel this way, have always found their natural home while traveling.
