Oddly enough, this is (so far) the highest-charting version on the Billboard charts. Hank Sr. released this as the flip-side of the #1 hit "Kaw-Liga". Many, many others have covered it, and it's a very well-known song, but only Bradshaw has cracked the Top 40 with it.

I witnessed Bradshaw's last singing performance. It took place at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh at a television station private party in 1977 if my memory is correct. After Terry's performance, Bill Cosby insulted him on stage so badly that he never sang again. It was not funny at all and so awkward. Bill Cosby is a rotten bastard. I can attest to that, as my friends and I were also insulted by him backstage that night.

This punk was singing while his fellow highschool graduates were getting shot at in Vietnam because he dodged the draft like Bill Clinton. If you could play great football or basketball your life was spared and he should be ashamed.
