@FinalFantasy10RO Because there was no other way around it. Van believed in his method to save humanity to the point that he was willing to kill his sister and all of them to accomplish his goal, while Tear and all of the others believed that he was truly wrong. Despite what Van did in the game, Tear still cared about him.
