@thetwentyfourth great point though, but if i did want to defend myself with some BS it would sound like this. The reason why I took the $o.25 and got the beer was to share it with the musician as I listened to him, it would make him believe that there are still good people around and get inspired. It`s just one those personalities from my bunch that has asshole as the main behavior. Other than that, I liked your lucid point. Tuche!

@lifedeathexpert Figures of speech generally have a meaning other than the literal interpretation of the words, right? What does "I think taking $0.25 off of a blind musician`s hat without him noticing and having enough for a pint of PBR rocks" mean besides what it says? Where's the metaphor or whatever other device that might make it a figure of speech? What it conveys to me is "I think any benefit to me rocks even when it is at the expense of others", to which I object. No hostility though :)
