Keith Relf Angels and Devils

I noticed that the old Yardbirds song, Ever Since the World Began, was the only one not on You Tube so here 'tis. Along with some added abstraction on my part and All the Falling Angels-
a video interpretation.
I love both of these songs. Ever Since the World Began--The Yardbirds and All the Falling Angels (unofficial demo then a flip side) a Keith Relf demo. Both songs carry the theme of Keith Relf's focus on the battle of good and evil within..

Some additional music and sounds by YA Electro Jugband
(me)
Additional re-mix liberties for effect.

The Images in the video are some I made and some from google images and public sharing or art images. Some of the animated imageryI made with done with 3D Softimage software. Some World of Warcraft images, Some old war footage. Astronomy Software Starry Night

The music and art that is not mine, would belong to their creators, while this collage and some of the music and art is my own creation. The Splendor Solis Alchemy images symbolic of the magic of the "Falling angels," come from an old manuscript as reworked on the alchemy website levity dot com.

Conceptually the idea in the lyrics --the strict admonition against money, power and greed and selling one's soul to the devil.......and then Keith sings about "all the falling angels," perhaps a warning to people he knew that were falling into the dark side, a theme he uses again with the war between good and evil Armageddon lyrics, such as:

"Hear me calling

My Brother's falling, I'll catch him if i can.
My Brother's falling, I'll catch him if i can.
My Brother's falling, I'll catch him if i can.
My Brother's falling, I'll catch him if i can.
I see him falling, join him in his last stand.

All of the questions and all of the lies
Will soon be answered to your surprise
All the doubting and all the tears
Will fall to ashes across the years." -Armageddon, "Last Stand Before"

  • this is very cool! never heard before. thanks for the post!

  • @pinkus44 Glad you like it.

  • One should check out "ALL THE FALLEN ANGELS" with JANE RELF singing! It only came out on a Marbled Pressing 45RPM over 20 years ago really nice with JANES TOP SINGING! The Relf Family Really has talent as well other Yardbirds members pre-Page and of course Renaissance, Armageddon, recorded '74, members!

  • @AEDC49 I havent heard that. I need to get it.

  • The first part of Ever Since the World Began was like a Black Sabbath song two years before there even was Black Sabbath.

  • What's with the overdubs here?

  • Yes the Yardbirds had recorded even their song Keith Relf wrote "TANGERINE" etc! for what would of been a TOP LP for spring '68 release and would have made it clear as to no need for later Zeppelin! As first 4 Zep LP's are sourced from this material on The "CUMULAR LIMIT" CD! Minus unfortunately the "TANGERINE" song! That Page has given a real hard time to McCarty & Dreja about etc! Check it out! Just like Page didn't like the cat out of the bag with the "live at the anderson theater" lp Shame!

  • Yes nice its posted! You are right Yakovlievich!- Ozzy and all other later deep-voiced Metal Bands picked up on that from this song that stems from 1965 and finally got put down on the Roger LP for '66 release! If People would look more closely at YB's material they'd see why they are the start of it all! See if you can get "The CUMULAR LIMIT" CD! This contains a nice version of "DAZED & CONFUSED" as well as most of the songs from what was intended to be an LP that contained all of later ZEP!

  • Keith Relf was an original thinker and lyricist & talented musician by so very underrated though. Thanks for this beautiful video with Keith's deeply felt compositions.

  • @sebassucc

I didn';t explain well. When i posted this video it was flagged by You Tube as "cannot be shown in other some countries." I think it because there is another, apparently popular song, with same title and they thought they were flagging that song.
