My First "Shooter" Game

This is my first REAL attempt at a shooter game. It's really easy to win because the enemies don't really shoot at you. They just sit there, waiting to be slaughtered ( I don't know HOW to make them shoot at you :S). Bear in mind the Hypercam made it look choppy. Leave a comment, rate and tell me about areas which need to improve.
These were the ONLY codes I used:
on(release)
gotoAndstop(framenumber)
gotoAndplay(framenumber)
stop();
Program - Adobe Flash CS3
Song - In The End, Linkin Park
Time Taken - About 10 lunch breaks (varying in length.)
It also should be mentioned that this game, for me, is an embarrassment. It's not really a game at all - it's more like an interactive animation, as a game has the consequence of losing.
However, since my studies of programming and software during my course of IPT, I have come to understand the concept of game design in a much more thorough manner.
Thank you all for your positive comments, but the truth is, this "game" is terrible.

What does gotoAndStop do?

From what I recall about flash CS3, the gotoAndstop command simply says that, when a parameter is met (like a button is pressed), that it will take the user to a frame specified by the creator and "stop" there, i.e. will not continue to play the animation.
