Beautiful but a bit disappointed that she almost fell in her first attitude turn and after the piques at the end. Still gorgeous though

haters are only jealous that they'll never have a career like hers....

That was BEAUTIFUL!!! I dance also and hope that one day I will dance as beautifully as Julie did in this video:)

@lmi88 Well, I guess it's just my loyalty. I'm very protective of Julie because she is the daughter of my first ballet teacher. She is an enourmous inspiration to me. There are just so many rude comments on this page. My problem with Cojocaru was the mad scene. That was it. She is a really great dancer too.

@Dreamers79Norandbing Really? In my opinion cojocaru acts it like no other. she's the sweet innocent giselle in act one and the hurt, fragile, loyal willis in act two. her giselle always brings me to tears while julie's doesn't...
-
@lmi88 That may be true, but Cojocaru does not act! I was looking forward to seeing her performance of giselle because she is one of the best ballerinas of present day, and while her technique is great and I liked her costume better and she looked the part...etc. She showed very little emotion.

@88888Di88888 Cojocaru's acting skills are fail. She shows no emotion. Viva Julie Kent!

I didn't like it.
-
well her feet are beautiful

i saw her dance pregnant once. what a trooper. good old american bailerinas
Maybe I've just allowed myself to become too attached to Alina Cojocaru's interpretation, but this one really doesn't do anything for me. It just feels... empty?

Let's face it. She's way too old to be Giselle nowadays. But still a beautiful dancer.
